Hi there!

My name is Sandy Gottfried, and I’m a math and theatre double major at Pitzer College in Claremont, California.

I first fell in love with technical theatre during a local production of “The Lion King Jr.” when I was 11 years old, and I’ve participated in over 20 shows since. I’ve done everything from run crew to lighting design to assistant stage management (among several other roles) over the years. Although my primary interest is lighting, I’m excited to expand my knowledge and experience as a theatre major at the Claremont Colleges.

When I’m not entangled in schoolwork and theatre, I’m still a nerd. I’ve made over 600 edits to Wikipedia, specializing in the local history of the Bay Area (where I’m from). I also love data and am often editing Google Sheets of election statistics. I dabble in graphic design too — I designed this website and its logo, an S-shaped hourglass to reflect my social media username “the sands of time”. (And no, I didn’t use generative AI.)
